Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and I’m definitely one who thinks about my outfits in advance (yes sometimes weeks in advance). I tend to dress up for every holiday because I think it just makes the day more special. Today I have a mix of dressy and casual outfits that will work for every classic, coastal, preppy loving soul. And I love wearing navy and dark green this time of year so those colors will be repeated throughout these six outfits. CASUAL THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

I love navy gingham this time of year! It’s casual yet polished and adds an understated elegance to your look. Navy gingham especially feels very timeless Americana and is a perfect print to wear for Thanksgiving. Gingham can easily be dressed down with a great pair of denim jeans if you are having a more casual family-filled day. I’ve had this navy gingham blouse from J.Crew Factory for several years and it’s just a great basic piece to keep in your wardrobe. COASTAL CLASSIC THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

You simply cannot go wrong with a timeless navy and white combination for Thanksgiving. Navy and white are always timeless, classic, coastal, polished, and chic. This navy cardigan from Avara is so sophisticated with its white trim and pearl-like buttons. I feel like Jackie Kennedy would most definitely approve of this sweater. It’s a cropped fit (and runs small so size up!) so it pairs beautifully with high waisted pants, like these wide leg denim jeans in Ecru. PREPPY THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

I’m having a moment with green lately (forest green and sage-y greens) and this green corduroy dress is a fall staple in my closet. If you are a frequent shopper of the J.Crew brand you will see corduroy returning every fall in the form of pants, dresses, and sometimes jackets. A green corduroy dress makes for a perfect Thanksgiving outfit and it’s easy to dress up or down. I paired mine with riding boots and a crewneck sweater, but you could easily style it with tights and ballet flats or ankle boots.

CASUAL PREPPY THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

Few things scream preppy like a v-neck varsity inspired sweater. This cream colored sweater with the ribbed detailing and red trim is perfect for a laid back cozy Thanksgiving look. If you are going for a timeless, preppy look, style it with denim jeans of your choice (skinny, wide leg or flare) and with a blouse or button down underneath it. DRESSY THANKSGIVING OUTFIT 

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen me share this mini swing dress several times. It’s just a fun little fall dress and is perfect for Thanksgiving if you want to wear something a little dressier. Since riding boots are having a moment again, style it with your favorite pair of knee high boots and add a crewneck sweater in case it’s chilly. (Style note: This dress runs short! RETRO CLASSIC THANKSGIVING OUTFIT

The deep green color is perfect for fall, the Thanksgiving holiday and even Christmas! And I just love the white trim details, white textured flowers, and oversized collar.
