We are about a week or two into fall and I think I’ve fully accepted that summer is over and I’m ready to embrace my inner fall prep. And to be quite honest, I’m swooning over all the fall styles this season. The fashion world has finally turned its eyes back to classic and preppy fashion pieces – i.e. riding boots, barn jackets, loafers – basically all of my favorite classic J.Crew styles and I’m just so happy. So without further ado, below are the items that I’m shopping, have already shopped, or are currently on my wish list!

Barn Jacket – This classic, durable and warm jacket is timeless J.Crew (think 1990’s J.Crew) and I really want one! The quilted J.Crew version comes in navy, Hunter green, brown and black. The price is a little steep but I can guarantee this is a style you will wear year after year.

Tennis Shoes/Sneakers – As a stay at home mom, I’m constantly on the go and my style has become very casual. My clothes have to be easy so that I am able to chase little kids, and that means wearing comfy shoes. I tend to wear my white canvas sneakers but I’m looking for an additional sneaker and the new sneaker collab between Draper James x Tretorn just dropped and I love the blue and white and pink and beige versions.

Polo Sweater – I’ve been wanting a polo sweater for the past couple of seasons and I finally purchased the bright pink from J.Crew Factory. This style sweater is so classic early 1960’s to me (if you ever watched American Dreams, Brittany Snow’s character was always wearing one!). I did purchase a small but might exchange it for an x-small, it seems to run a little big.

Loafers – I’ve been looking at loafers for the past couple of seasons and this year I think is the year I want to finally purchase a pair. Right now these Birdie loafers are my top choice! But Eastland Shoes also have classic styles at a great price point.

Flare Crop Denim – I bought a pair of denim jeans in a flare crop last year from LOFT and I ended up really loving them. As the trend for straight leg, wide leg, and flare jeans continues, I decided to try another style and ended up loving these flare jeans from J.Crew Factory. I would size down though – they really stretch out and after a day of wearing them the legs are really big!

Knee-High Boots – I love a knee high boot! I already have a good pair of riding boots from years ago but I would love an over the knee suede boot and this one from J.Crew Factory is so cute. It reminds me of a pair of knee high boots I bought when I studied in London and I wish I still had them! Pair these with a mini skirt or flirty dress and you have a super cute fall outfit!

Lady Jacket – The Lady Jacket. This is probably the HOTTEST style for this fall and I’m literally obsessed with the J.Crew version in navy and white stripes. This is on my Christmas list for sure!

Classic Cognac Tote – Now that I’ve moved on from a diaper bag, I’ve been wanting a classic structured tote and this one from Kohl’s has been high on my list for weeks! I love the scallop detail and classic cognac color. And it’s incredibly affordable and has great reviews from other buyers!

Pull on High-Waisted Pants – Pull on high waisted pants have had a moment all summer and they’ve continued into fall and I’m here for this style. I purchased a pair from J.Crew Factory and I’m obsessed!! They are so comfortable and they can easily be dressed up or down.

I’m sure as the season progresses I will add to this list, but these are the items I’m currently loving and found I had a need for in my closet.
